I think OP is talking about classes that have crazy self-sustain without relying on skills (i.e. the title, "which class can just keep going forever"). Something like condi scourge with tormenting runes or revenant with Battle Scars has far higher sustain and doesn't rely on skills with cooldowns to get it. 5.

The ones that are generally considered useful are Mesmer, Necro, and Engineer's Elite spec Scrapper. Banners are pets too. :D. I wouldn't count Elementalist or thief as those are one off skills and not an entire skill category for those classes, as opposed to engineer, guardian, mesmer, and necromancer.
