Pandulce1. Compared to the original release, the XL Edition is updated up to 2.01 and you get some free DLC. The Academy Edition is updated up to 2.07 and has the same or a bit more free DLC. The Platinum Edition is a re-release of the original game at a lower price, but with on updates. I would get the Academy if I had the choice.
